Random post
I had a day to myself. I haven't had a day to myself in quite a while. So, as is my way, I squandered it. Productivity = zero until 4, then groceries, else blog. No, not really. I got the groceries AND wrote a blog. Though, you must admit, it's not much of a blog entry.
PS:
Here's a little meat.
Okay, I've got a question for all you iTunes users out there. When you move folders with actual files and iTunes loses track of them, how do you point the library to the new file locations as a batch? I can redirect iTunes one song at a time but that's way too time consuming when you've got several hundred songs to do. What I've been doing is deleting the library entry for the old file location and importing them in again, but that strips the play count info and so forth. I actually use play count info in my auto playlists so I don't like to do that.
Anyone have any tips?

Once more into the breach.
Hey all.
I'm subbing Free Things Are Cool for Jenny Jenkins this evening from 9 to 11 PM on KAOS Olympia 89.3FM. You can also listen live online here.
I haven't done a show in nearly a year so it's sure to be sloppy and good!

Scrabulous
My new Internet addiction is Scrabble. I can't control myself. The Facebook app makes it so easy to be playing and checking back on a multiplicity of games all the time. It's insidious. At any given time I'm playing scrabble with three to ten friends, day in, day out. There are worse things to be addicted to, I'm sure, but I've got to tell you, the dreams are starting to get a bit oppressive.
The upshot is that my vocabulary of words of seven or fewer letters has been increasing exponentially.
When I was a kid we played cards and board games all the time. I miss that in my adult life. I wish my sister lived closer so that we could play Canasta all the time like we did when we were
teenagers. Those were the days.
Piece, out.

Facelift
Okay, perhaps getting a new look will inspire me to return to my blogging ways. Unfortunately it's now bed time, so blogging will have to wait. But at least it looks fresh, right?

Sick Babe
My little angel is home sick today with a fever. She's so sick that she put herself down for a nap. It was a total surprise. I turned around and she was totally asleep. Oooop! And now she's awake. She's sure got a funny sense of timing. It's just as well, 'cause we've got a doctor's appointment for her in an hour and it's a 30 minute drive to the doctor's office. Her hair is really wild right now! She fell asleep with her hair still a little wet and oh, boy!
If I was always a stay-at-home dad maybe I'd be a blogger again. Oh, well.

A day of rest
Nothing much happened today and that was good. I took the day off of work to re-coup my energy but at it turned out, I woke up feeling a bit sick anyway. I've been fighting this thing all week and I suspect that laying low and watching movies helped kick it out of my system. Let's keep our fingers crossed, shall we?
I watched "A Scanner Darkley" today. Pretty good. Not as great as Blade Runner, I don't think, but certainly the best Phillip K. Dick adaptation since then. Didn't really brighten my sicky spirts as you might suspect. But that's fine. Downtime is good for the soul.
I played with my new iPod a bit. I've got it stocked with 10 episodes of Hogan's Heroes now. Just in case.
I finally got showered by 3 or so and then did some yoga. The Baron Baptist DVD that I did is such an ass kicker that I know I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. I hadn't done that one in a while and had forgotten how trying it is. Mindy and I joke that the two girls that he has demonstrating the poses are his "race horses" though I suppose they're more show horses than race horses. He just walks around them and corrects their postures the whole time as he runs on and on in this stream of consciousness blather. Don't get me wrong, it's a good workout or I wouldn't do it, but the guy has a serious motor mouth.
I'm off to bed. Tomorrow I have to take my mom to Seattle for her surgery follow-up appointment from her hysterectomy that happened last month.
It's been a hell of a year.

Playlist for Dark Woods Casino Party 12/12/06
I subbed my second show since stopping being a regular KAOS DJ tonight. I never did get around to puting the playlist from the Music From the Underground that I subbed a couple of months ago. Maybe I'll do that sometime soon. Maybe.
Anyway, I know that everyone would rather that I write actaul blog entries rather than just listing songs, but listing songs is just so easy and fun.
Love ya. How've you been?

Thanks to Courtney for visually preserving my memories. ;)

In the "garden"
My girl. She's sooo cute. We've had a nice morning so far. We've played blocks and had a kazoo duet jam. It was rockin'. I'm really tired though.
Blah.
