I wouldn't've had it any other way.
Does Donna's (former) position pay more than Music 6000? That strikes me as the ultimate solution - grab that job, then you can schedule yourself at a time that presents absolutely no conflicts. Hell, you could take the little one to work then, and everybody would probably love having her.
I'm only half kidding you know. Nobody would be more qualified to handle to paperwork and the training both.
